I've lost my mittens

Dessert table, Whippornock Manor, Thanksgiving 2008

Poor little kitten,
She's lost her mittens,
And has a good idea where to find them:
In gracious Virginia,
She's left them somewhere...
She's trying not to cry.

Poor little kitten,
She's lost her red mittens,
And shouldn't be sad that she lost them:
In gracious Virginia,
Remembering being there,
'Cos she had 5 kinds of pie.

Random posting to say sorry I've been away and more postings of a Virginia Homegirl to come later...

That's a lot of pie. I bet each and every one of them were simply delish.

And welcome back! To Bath, to the blogworld... what have you. Just good to have ya back. :D

It's such a cute poem, and yet it sounds so sad that I feel like cuddling this little kitten!

you didn't really lose your mittens did you? So what do they symbolize? Nostalgia? Childhood?

By the way, "little" A munched up all your BBQ Pork Rinds you left behind :) and she put on another pound in a week!

I'm happy and glad you came.
Thank you. E xxxooo

Err...I did lose my mittens somewhere, I think probably in the car...it was a rush to get out and get checked in as the traffic was soooo bad.
